55 International Pickup Truck's photos
This is a restored old international. Most the work is completed. I purchased it on eBay and towed it home from Denver.

This truck was for sale on eBay when I found it. I know I paid too much, but it reminded me of my '58 International A100 Anniversary Edition. That truck was one of my favorites - ever. The only reason I did not keep it was that I was not mechanically inclined and the truck needed repairs. I was able to trade it in on a '67 Datsun pickup. It did not occur to me to keep it, though it was a classic. After all, what was I to do with two trucks, anyhow?
You have to agree, this truck is a real beauty. I was in love with it from the start - even after I got down to Denver to pick it up and found the owner had put a dent in the fender and the brakes did not work!
The dent in the passenger fender does not show in this photo. The seller claimed he created the damage that morning pulling the truck out of the garage. However, I think it was more likely a problem with the brakes. For a moment, I considered dropping the deal altogether and driving home empty. However, the truck was beautiful and it brought back many memories and the seller appeared to have business problems and was in a hurt for the sale. He offered a substantial reduction in the price to make up for the dent and the brakes. So, we made the deal work.
. . . or opens from the passenger's side!Open both latches and the hood removes. Sure makes working in the engine compartment easy. How cool is that?
There are no stronger trucks than these old International pickups. They were designed and created for farm work. Business and contractors soon discovered if they wanted a truck to haul the load, International was the choice of trucks.
This truck gets up to 60 real quick - but that is where she stays! It has a strong rear end because it was designed to haul loads. And the frame is beefy, too! It will hold it and haul it.
No matter what angle you take the picture, this is a beautiful truck. I have had some fine machines in my time, but there is nothing like the look and feel of an old International.
The bed of the truck is sprayed with bed liner. If I keep this truck, I will replace the floor with oak.Look at the details here, even the rope hooks are custom - and powder coated.
A lot of detail went into the restoration of this truck. It was a complete frame-off. The previous owners have over 26K into the restoration. I bought it for less than half that.
The undercarriage is all sprayed with undercoat and the frame is sprayed with bed liner. When I returned from Denver, I dropped it off at Ross Point Truck Repair in Post Falls, Idaho. They replaced the brakes - the complete job, new drums, shoes, even all new lines and cylinders. They are as good as new - because they are, completely.
The first thing restored on this truck was the motor. It was owned by a mechanic who completely rebuild the motor and transmission. - No new paint. After that, he sold it to a couple who did a complete frame-off. Most of the work was professional, but a few things they did themselves. They weren't as professional, but it does all look good.
